Gather your ingredients so that you have everything close at hand on the counter or table. You’ll need a 6 or 7 quart slow cooker for this recipe.
Mince the garlic using a knife and cutting board.
Sear the Ribs
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, sear ribs in hot oil on both sides until a golden brown crust appears.
Place ribs in a large slow cooker.
Prepare the Barbecue Sauce
In a medium bowl, mix together the ketchup, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, wine vinegar, minced garlic, dry minced onion, yellow mustard, Worcestershire sauce, dried oregano and parsley.
Pour the sauce over the ribs in layers. Do this for best coverage of the sauce. Season with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper.
Place lid on slow cooker, and cook on low for 6-8 hours until meat is tender and falls apart when picked up. Serves 4-6
