Gather your ingredient so that you have everything close at hand on the counter or table.
Prepare the Ingredients
In a large skillet, fry bacon until brown and crispy. Allow to cool and break into small pieces. Set aside.
Using a food processor or a box grater, coarsely grate the cabbage and peeled carrots. (Or you can even use a sharp knife and chop the cabbage that way.) Chop the green pepper, and mince the sweet onion.
Place the grated cabbage and carrots in a large mixing bowl. Add in the chopped green pepper, sweet onion, and bacon pieces.
Prepare the Salad Dressing
In a glass measuring cup or small bowl, combine the salad dressing, granulated sugar, and apple cider vinegar. Whisk until smooth.
Pour the dressing over the salad and toss. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours before serving. 8-10 servings.
