Serve Herbed Brown Rice in place of potatoes. Flavored with chicken bouillon, butter, and Herbs de Province, this rice is a perfect side dish with your favorite pork, chicken, or seafood recipes.
In a medium saucepan, add water, chicken bouillon cubes, butter, Herbs de Provence, and garlic powder. Bring to a boil.*You may substitute the following common herbs if you do not have Herbs de Provence in your pantry: 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley, and 1/2 teaspoon thyme leaves.
Add in the brown rice blend.**If you do not have the Whole Grain Royal Blend Brown Rice, simply substitute 1 cup of long-grain brown rice in its place. Follow the rice directions for length of cooking time, which may be shorter than the time given in this recipe.
Cover and reduce heat to a simmer. Cook for 40-45 minutes until the liquid is gone.
Remove from heat and allow to set for 5 minutes before serving. This recipe will serve 4-6 people.
