- 4 slices thick bacon
- 1/2 medium cabbage shredded
- 1 cup sweet onion
- 1/2 cup green bell pepper
- 1/2 cup red bell pepper

- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 teaspoon celery seed
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

- To begin, gather your ingredients so that you have everything nearby on the counter or table.
Prepare the Ingredients
- Using a sharp knife and cutting board, shred the cabbage. Chop the sweet onion and green and red bell peppers.
- In a small bowl, combine the apple cider vinegar, granulated sugar, and water, stirring well until sugar is dissolved.
Cook the Cabbage Dish
- In a large skillet, cook the bacon until it is nicely brown and crisp. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Crumble into small pieces. Set aside.
