"This is one of my favorite and easiest dessert recipes. Serve it warm with whipped cream or ice cream. Itβs also delicious served cold for breakfast. I also make it with fresh blueberries and canned tart cherries or peaches."
1 1/4cupsunsifted gluten free flouruse regular flour, if preferred
1/3cupgranulated sugar
2teaspoonsbaking powder
1/2teaspoonsalt
1wholelarge egg
1/2cupmilk
1/4cupbuttermelted
Additional sugar and nutmeg
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spread pie filing evenly in bottom of 12β x 12β baking dish. Set aside.
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add egg, milk, and melted butter. Mix until well-combined. Spoon batter over fruit. Sprinkle with sugar and nutmeg. Bake until the crust is golden brown, about 35-40 minutes. Serve warm or cold, plain or topped with fresh cream, whipped cream, or ice cream.
