Preheat oven to 375℉. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Spray foil with cooking spray.
Prepare the Ingredients
Using a handheld grater, shred 2 cups cheddar cheese into a bowl or on a plate. Set aside. (You may substitute Colby, Colby Jack, or Pepper Jack, if desired.)
Mince 1/2 medium sweet onion and 1 tablespoon minced garlic.
Make the Filling
In a large skillet, brown 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef or ground venison. Add the minced onion and garlic and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
Season the mixture with 1 tablespoon Louisiana Hot Sauce, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 2 teaspoons chili powder, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, and 1 teaspoon ground cumin. Add in about 2/3 cup water and cook until nearly evaporated.
Drain the 15 oz. black beans and stir into the burger mixture. Simmer for 5-7 minutes.
Assemble the Flautas
If desired, warm 10 regular flour tortillas.
Spoon 1/2 cup of filling on one edge of flour tortilla. Sprinkle about 3 tablespoons cheddar cheese over the meat. Roll tightly and lay seam-side down on prepared baking sheet. Repeat until mixture is gone.
Brush tops and sides with 1/3 cup Extra Virgin olive oil. Bake in preheated oven for 8-10 minutes. If desired, you may turn the flautas over and brush once more with olive oil. Bake for an additional 5-6 minutes until nicely browned. Allow to cool for 5-7 minutes before serving.
Serve with your choice of Toppings: salsa, guacamole, sour cream, shredded cheese, diced tomatoes, and cilantro. Makes 10 flautas.
