In my years of baking and cooking, I have made many DIY seasonings and mixes. You can usually count on two things when you make your own: it will be less expensive and more tasty.

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
Instructions
- Combine ingredients in a small bowl. Using a funnel, pour spices into an airtight container. Store until ready to use. Makes 5 tablespoons.
