I use Hoisin Sauce when I make Orange Chicken. But I don’t always have the product in my pantry. For those times, here’s my recipe for Homemade Hoisin Sauce. It works very well and is easy to make.

Most of the items are basics that I keep in my pantry. Some of the less used items would be: rice vinegar and peanut oil. The rest are pretty basic: creamy peanut butter, honey, soy sauce, and hot sauce.

Hoisin Sauce is a sweet-spicy condiment used in Asian dishes. As mentioned above, I use it mostly for my Orange Chicken recipe. But you could also use it as a dipping sauce for spring rolls or for my Egg Roll Recipe.
