Memorial Day is almost here. It’s time to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air. Here are a few Memorial Day Menu Ideas to help you celebrate this May celebration. And while we’re all celebrating our freedoms, lets be sure to thank a Veteran for his or her service to our Country.
#1 – Grilled hamburgers with Sourdough Whole Wheat Buns. I love serving grilled burgers on homemade buns that are sturdy and delicious. No more buns that fall apart in your hands when you’re eating.
#2 – Slow-Cooked Country Style Pork Ribs – Or perhaps you’d rather use your slow cooker and invite everyone over for an outdoor barbecue dinner. You don’t have to grill in order to enjoy the great outdoors.
#3 – Steak an Shrimp Shish Kabobs – Maybe you’d prefer to make some Shish Kabobs on the grill. Our daughters love these.
#4 – Grilled Pork Chops – If you’re expecting a large gathering, you might want to consider buying a whole pork loin and slicing thick chops. These are easy to make and taste wonderful.
#5 – Easy Corn Dip – This dip goes great with corn chips or even lime-flavored corn chips. So good!
#6 – This recipe for Garlic Hummus with Smoked Paprika is one of the easiest hummus recipes I’ve made. And it’s so delicious. I could eat it every day, or almost every day. My daughters love it as well.
#7 – Deviled Eggs – Every picnic or barbecue should include some boiled eggs.
#8 – Grandma’s Coleslaw – Slaw goes best with barbecue, so if that’s on your menu, be sure to include some cabbage!
#9 – Potato Salad – How about some cool, delicious potato salad. This recipe is always a favorite.
#10 – Yummy Baked Beans – A picnic or barbecue just wouldn’t be complete without some baked beans on the menu. Here’s a recipe that gets rave reviews.
