Sirloin Steak Marinade

Sirloin Steak Marinade

Sirloin Steak Marinade is a recipe we have been enjoying for many years. Made with soy sauce, brown sugar, onion, garlic, and lime juice, it seasons sirloin steak perfectly. I’ve been known to put it on other types of steak as well, even KC Strips.

Homemade Hoisin Sauce

Homemade Hoisin Sauce

I use Hoisin Sauce when I make Orange Chicken. But I don’t always have the product in my pantry. For those times, here’s my recipe for Homemade Hoisin Sauce. It works very well and is easy to make.

For those who might not know, Hoisin Sauce is a sweet-spicy condiment used in Asian dishes. But you could also use it as a dipping sauce for spring rolls or for my Egg Roll Recipe.

Most of the ingredients are basics that I keep in my pantry. Two of the less used items are rice vinegar and peanut oil. The rest are pretty common to most households.

Ingredients Needed to Make Homemade Hoisin Sauce

  • soy sauce (low sodium)
  • creamy peanut butter
  • honey
  • rice vinegar
  • peanut oil
  • hot sauce
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • garlic powder

Instructions for Making This Recipe

Gather all your ingredients so that you have everything close at hand on the counter or table.

Place all ingredients in a blender dish. Blend for 30-40 seconds until thoroughly combined.

Use as directed in recipe. You may store unused sauce for up to 7 days in the refrigerator.

This recipe will make 1/2 cup.
