Easy Cinnamon Roll Twists is a quick and easy recipe made from refrigerator biscuits that we enjoy serving for brunch. It is so sweet and delightful! And especially fun to make with little hands.

Let’s face it–we don’t always have time to bake or cook the things we want to for our families. If you find yourself without time to make homemade cinnamon rolls, this recipe is a great option. All it takes is a few ingredients common to most households. If you have a can of refrigerator biscuits, you most likely have everything else you’ll need.

Plus, if you have little ones at home, or planning a visit with your grands, you’ll want to get out the little aprons and mini rolling pins (like the one pictured above) so you can make this with them. It’s perfect for little hands, and they love eating the yummy miniature twists!

Ingredients Needed to Make Easy Cinnamon Roll Twists

  • refrigerator buttermilk biscuits
  • butter
  • brown sugar
  • ground cinnamon

For the Icing:

  • powdered sugar
  • vanilla extract
  • whole milk

Instructions on Making this Recipe

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. With a rolling pin, roll out each biscuit 3″ wide.

Spread each biscuit with butter. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.

Beginning at one end, roll up the biscuits like a cinnamon roll.

Cut 4-6 slices per biscuit.

Place slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat, giving each one a little twist with your thumb and forefinger.

Bake for 16-20 minutes until golden brown.

While the biscuits are baking, prepare the icing. In a small bowl, combine powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and whole milk. Whisk together until smooth. Drizzle icing over the cinnamon twists while they are still warm. Serve warm. This recipe will serve 4 people.
