As a recipe blogger, I like to keep track of recipes that are popular on Google searches and with my readers. When compared to the previous three years, the Top Ten Recipes haven’t changed much, although there are always a couple that surprise me. Once again, chocolate and German recipes win the prize for most popular. Here are my Most Popular Recipes for 2024.
Chocolate Fudge Truffle Cheesecake, takes number one this year by quite a large margin! This recipe deserves its spot, as it’s a chocolate-lover’s dream. Truly, it’s an amazing recipe that turns out every time I’ve made it. I love enjoying it on my birthday or for Valentine’s Day!
Pork Schnitzel with Cream Sauce continues to climb the ranks and comes in at #2. This is always a popular recipe, especially for anyone looking for comfort food or a German dish. It’s an easy weeknight dinner to make for your family and pairs well with mashed potatoes or German Spaetzle with Cabbage!
Kielbasa Sauerkraut with Potatoes dropped to #3 this past year, having been the top recipe in 2023. This is also a great weeknight dinner or perfect for Oktoberfest.
Thick Venison Chili once again earns a spot in my top five recipes. A lot of my venison recipes have ranked in the top 50 recipes. For the first 15 years of our marriage, our family practically lived on venison that my husband hunted, both deer and elk. After much trial and error, I learned the best recipes for using the roasts, steaks, and burger. This is one of them!
Angel Food Cake with Frosting comes in at Number Five and is still quite popular in searches. It’s pleasing to know so many people are looking at homemade versions of this recipe! The cake is light and airy with a hint of vanilla and citrus, and the 7-Minute Frosting is so good!
Coming in at number six is another popular German recipe. German Style Meatballs is a family favorite we make every year. Flavorful meatballs in a sweet and sour sauce, loaded with sauerkraut and cranberries. Members of our church like these meatballs so much, they’ve come to expect it each year.
Chicken Teriyaki on a Stick places seventh. It’s a delicious main dish to make on the grill or in an oven broiler. Marinated chicken breast that is tender, saucy, and so yummy! Check it out and see what you think!
We start changing things up at Number Eight, with a dish I make for church potluck dinners. Once again, it’s a venison recipe and quite easy to make.
Number 9 is a fantastic recipe I like to make with Sourdough. Sourdough Chocolate Croissants are wonderful for a weekend brunch, or just because you feel like making something buttery and exquisite! The sourdough really does add to the flavor of the croissants.
And last but not least, coming in at Number Ten is Orange Carrot Gelatin Salad, a dish my family has been making ever since I was a little girl. Apparently, it is quite popular for Jell-o salads. It’s a very versatile recipe that is great all year long, whether for a holiday dinner, a picnic, or a summer barbecue.
As you can see, out of these top ten recipes for 2024, three are German Recipes, two are Desserts, two are Venison, and the remaining three fit into their own category. I hope you’ve enjoyed this post, and that it has given you ideas for recipes to make for your family.
A Few Statistics to Share
This past year, I converted my site to a Restored 316 (Homestead) theme, and Country at Heart Recipes had more than 546,000 pageviews. I also qualified for ad monetization with Mediavine this past November, something I have been working toward for the last three years! So, tomorrow (January 3) I will switch from She Media to Mediavine, which should be a wonderful experience for both you and me! I owe much thanks and appreciation to all of you for continuing to visit and browse my recipes.
