Serve this Fresh Fruit Cocktail Salad for your next weekend brunch, family gathering, or potluck dinner. Everybody loves fruit, and this fresh fruit salad is a winner. It’s coated in a citrus dressing so your fruits won’t turn color on you, which is also very nice.

Serving Fruit Salad for Brunch

When I made this salad the first time, it was springtime so berries were in season and on sale. It’s always a good idea to shop for seasonal fresh fruit to get the best buy.

Ingredients Needed to Make Fresh Fruit Cocktail Salad

  • strawberries
  • fresh pineapple (canned chunk pineapple works, too)
  • blackberries
  • blueberries
  • red grapes
  • kiwi
  • mandarin oranges (okay to use canned mandarin oranges)
  • bananas

Citrus Dressing

  • honey
  • lemon zest
  • lemon juice
  • pineapple juice (reserved)

Instructions for Making This Recipe

Preparing the Fruit

Rinse all of the fresh fruit and drain in a colander. As each fruit is prepared, place in a  large bowl.

With a cutting board and sharp knife, remove tops from strawberries and slice in half. Slice pineapple (or drain canned pineapple chunks).
